The impact bank deposits on bank return measured with Return On Assets and Equity (ROA & ROE) / A case study of the commercial Gulf bank for the period from ( 2009-2018 )

Abstract

The research seeks to indicate the role of bank deposits (current, savings, fixed) in achieving profitability of the research sample bank by measuring the most important indicators of profitability and showing the success of the management of the bank in achieving acceptable rates of returns according to these indicators in away that enhances the confidence of the bank among all parties, To achieve the research goals represented in analyzing the measurement indicators to identify the returns level made by the bank and analyze the statistic relationship between the variables , hypotheses have been set to solve the research problem, which are formulated by the impact of bank deposits on the bank's returns as measured by ROA and ROE.

For applying of the research ,on the ground Commercial Gulf Bank working in Iraq was selected as a case study and the bank data were analyzed for the period (2009-2018) as well as the use of simple and multi-linked polling station for the research hypotheses and taking out the results using the SPSS statistical analysis program, several results have been reached the most of which is that the hypotheses showed the existence of a positive impact of the bank deposits on the Return On Assets of the commercial Gulf bank at the total level ,As for the spatial level the current deposits showed that they have stronger impact ,The results of hypotheses tests showed an existence of appositive impact of bank deposits on the Return On Equity of the bank at the total level , the current and saving deposits were found to have the more powerful impact at the partial level .
